This
week Crime Stoppers is seeking tips about an armed robbery which took place at
the Family Dollar store at 921 W Jefferson on September 6 at approximately 4:20
in the afternoon. In the incident, a white male subject who was approximately
5’10” tall, 170 pounds, and in his 30’s or early 40’s demanded money from the
cash drawer after he announced to the clerk that he had a handgun concealed on
his person. The suspect was wearing a dark T-shirt, khaki shorts, sun glasses
and a tan cowboy hat. He left in a dark colored older model Ford Explorer which
was waiting for him nearby. The suspect made off with a small amount of cash
and a carton of Marlboro Special Blend 100’s cigarettes.
