This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information about a home invasion and aggravated criminal sexual assault which occurred in the 3200 block of east Enos on June 26^th around 5:30 a.m. The victim woke up to find the suspect entering the room. A struggle began causing minor injuries to the victim. The suspect is a skinny white male with longer hair and facial hair, wearing a hooded sweatshirt and dark pants that fled the area on foot. A resident of Montvale Estates had a credit card stolen resulting in numerous illegal transactions at local retail establishments. This week Crime Stoppers needs your help to identify a subject involved in the theft and use of stolen/forged checks throughout Springfield totaling over a thousand dollars. The victim reports the theft occurred April 7th from 1151 N 8th around 3-p.m. The suspect is described as a black male, 5’10-5’11, over 200lbs with a short beard. This week we want to let you know how to take another pro-active step to fight burglary by keeping a record of serial numbers of property you own and photographing unique items such as jewelry. By saving this information for police if you are victimized - or better yet - storing this information on a free and secure database such as Leadsonline.com, it may help police identify a thief and could even assist in the return your property if you are ever victimized.
