Hi I’m Officer John Dorsey, Crime Stoppers Coordinator for Sangamon and Menard Counties.

2019 was a great year for Crime Stoppers thanks to our tipsters and the public attending our fundraisers.  968 tips were received, which led to 108 case closures and 57 arrests. Crime Stoppers assisted in the recovery of $209,570 dollars worth of stolen property and drugs. Over $22,000 dollars in rewards were approved and $16,950 dollars were actually claimed. Our next fundraiser is on Saturday, February 1st at the BOS center, our 11th annual trivia night. Please go to Cashfortips.US to register. If you have any information about crime, you can stay completely anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 788-8427, submit a tip on this website, Cashfortips.US or download the P3 app on your mobile device. All 3 ways are anonymous and if an arrest is made based on your tip, you could be eligible for a cash reward up to 2500 dollars. Remember Crime Stoppers only wants your information, not your name.
