This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information about an Armed Robbery in the 2800 block of Poplar here in Springfield which occurred on July 12^th around 1a. In this case a thin black male in a red and black jacket about 5’5, approached the victim, pointed a gun and demanded money. The victim fled and in doing so the suspect fired. The suspect chased the victim and caught up taking the victims property. There were no injuries. In this case the victim was approached by 2 black males. One was in a dark hooded jacket, dark jeans, early 20s and holding a handgun. He demanded a bag that was held by the victim. The second suspect was a bit taller and older, also in a hooded jacket and thin. Both suspects fled in a dark colored vehicle.
