This week Crime Stoppers wants to inform you about several scams that are taking place in relation to the Coronavirus.  Scammers are sending out fake stimulus checks and asking for small fee’s before the checks can be cashed.  In some cases the scammer will ask for bank account information so the check can be deposited.  Scammers are also claiming to have a vaccine for the virus but there is currently no known vaccine so any such claim is a scam. Remember, most of the scams seem too good to be true so use good judgment before giving your personal information or money to someone you don’t know!  To report crimes, call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 788-8427, submit a tip on this website, Cashfortips.US or download the P3 app on your mobile device and submit a tip from there.  If your tip leads to an arrest you will receive a cash reward up to 2500 dollars. Remember Crime Stoppers only wants your information, not your name.
