On August 23rd between noon and 1pm while a state employee was walking during her lunch break near Pasfield and Cedar Street, a male subject jumped from behind a bush and knocked the pedestrian to the ground. As she fell, the victim maintained ahold of the cell phone she had in her hand, however, while on the ground the perpetrator forcefully grabbed the phone from her hand and ran eastbound. The suspect was described as being a tall, thin black male in his 20’s or 30’s who was wearing a dark T-shirt and jeans. The stolen phone was a black I-Phone 7 plus in a black case.
