This week Crime Stoppers is seeking to assist the Springfield Police Department to identify a suspect in reference to a burglary and theft that occurred on two different occasion’s on October 22nd and November 4th at Abelardos Mexican Restaurant located at 1610 W Jefferson, in Springfield.  Both times a male suspect is seen arriving in a white sedan in the early morning hours.  The male suspect, using bolt cutters, breaks into a detached freezer stealing over a thousand dollars’ worth of meat.  Photos of the individual(s) can be found on this website, cashfortips.us. 2019 was a great year for Crime Stoppers thanks to our tipsters and the public attending our fundraisers.  968 tips were received, which led to 108 case closures and 57 arrests. Crime Stoppers assisted in the recovery of $209,570 dollars worth of stolen property and drugs. Over $22,000 dollars in rewards were approved and $16,950 dollars were actually claimed. Our next fundraiser is on Saturday, February 1st at the BOS center, our 11th annual trivia night. Please go to Cashfortips.US to register. This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information about an Armed Robbery at O’Reily Auto Parts, located at 1321 N. This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information about an Armed Robbery at Circle K, located at 1801 E. North Grand on December 6th at 2:36am.  A light skinned male around 6’00 with a medium build wearing a black coat, black pants, black shoes, black scarf around his face and gray/white gloves entered the store and demanded the clerk open the cash register.  The suspect was armed with a gray/black handgun and fled with the cash register on foot.  He was last seen running in the 1600/1700 block of Cummings St, north bound.  Photos of the suspect can be viewed on this website, Cashfortips.US.  If you have any information about this case, call Crime Stoppers at 788-8427.  You will remain completely anonymous and if an arrest is made based on your tip, you will receive a cash reward up to 2500 dollars. Deceptive Practices

This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information about a deceptive practices incident that took place on November 25th around 9pm at 3108 Turning Mill Dr.  A male subject impersonating a Springfield Police Officer made contact with the victim and told them they had a warrant and needed to cooperate by sending a large sum of money to a location in a different state.  The suspect was a white male, 5’10” wearing a dark stocking cap, dark quilted jacket, khaki pants and driving an older, blue or black police style vehicle.  If you have any information about this incident, call Crime Stoppers at 788-8427. This week Crime Stoppers needs your help to identify the suspect in a Commercial Burglary and Theft that took place between 10:30pm on November, 21st and 0830am on November 22nd at “The Barber Shop”, located at 2700 W. This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information about an Armed Robbery at “The Cash Store”, located at 2512 N. This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information about an Armed Robbery and Aggravated Battery that took place on Friday, November 8th, around 1:43am at the Shell Gas Station, located at 2770 W.
