This week Crime Stoppers is seeking to assist the Springfield Police Department to identify a suspect in reference to a burglary and theft that occurred on two different occasion’s on October 22nd and November 4th at Abelardos Mexican Restaurant located at 1610 W Jefferson, in Springfield.  Both times a male suspect is seen arriving in a white sedan in the early morning hours.  The male suspect, using bolt cutters, breaks into a detached freezer stealing over a thousand dollars’ worth of meat.  Photos of the individual(s) can be found on this website, cashfortips.us. This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information about an Armed Robbery to a Lincoln Yellow Cab driver.  The robbery took place on Thursday, December 24th at 2:08am.  The cab driver picked up a 19-20yr. old dark skinned black male, 5’10”/160lbs. wearing a red skull cap, black jacket and red hat with short hair in the 2200 block of Saratoga and took him to 1831 Pope St. Once there the cab driver said he heard the sound of a handgun being cocked and the black male demanded he give him all of his money.  After the robbery the suspect fled south on foot.  If you have any information about this Armed Robbery call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 788-8427, submit a tip on this website, Cashfortips.US or download the P3 app on any mobile device and submit a tip from there.  If your tip leads to an arrest you will receive a cash reward up to 2500 dollars. This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information about an Unlawful Use of a Weapon incident at The Boulevard Town Homes, 2715 S. Macarthur #69 on Wednesday, December 2nd at 8:40pm.  Security video from the scene shows two black males at the door of the apartment.  One of the males is wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and the outline of a handgun can be seen in his right front pocket.  The second male is wearing a black puffy coat.  They indicated they were there looking for someone.  Law Enforcement is attempting to identify both subjects and needs your help!  A photo of the subjects can be viewed on this website, Cashfortips.US. This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information about ongoing thefts of catalytic converters in the Springfield Area.  The thefts span the months of October and November with several incidents taking place over the long Thanksgiving holiday weekend.  Locations of thefts have been auto dealerships, storage units and church lots. This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information about a shots fired incident that took place on Monday, November 30th at 12:43pm in the 2100 block of east Monroe St.  An unknown suspect(s) fired multiple shots which struck 4 residences causing damage to siding, windows and doors.  No persons were struck by gunfire or injured during this incident.  A silver car was seen leaving the area but it is unknown if the vehicle was involved. This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information about a Burglary and Shots Fired incident that took place at 1911 E.
