This week Crime Stoppers is seeking to assist the Springfield Police Department to identify an individual reference a theft that occurred on October 3rd around 10pm at Hy-Vee Gas Station located at 1025 Outer Park, in Springfield.  A male suspect entered the gas station just before 10pm wearing a red Hy-Vee shirt over the top of a grey hoodie as well as a mask covering his face.  The suspect walked behind the counter and took over $1,000 in cash from a safe.  Photos of the individual can be found on this website, cashfortips.us. This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information about a shooting that took place at Eisenhower Pool, 2351 E. Cornell Ave. on Sunday, January 10th at 3:17pm.  An unknown suspect, 5’7”-5’9”, thin build, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, light shirt underneath and dark pants fired several shots at a red, 4 door Nissan in the lot.  Two females inside the Nissan were struck by the gunfire.  The suspect possibly entered a dark colored Chrysler 300 with tinted windows, a dark tinted strip across the top windshield and aluminum wheels, on Cornell Ave. after the shooting and fled.  Video of the incident can be viewed on this website, Cashfortips.US.  If you have information about this shooting incident, or any other crime, call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 788-8427, submit a tip on this website or use the P3 app on any mobile device.  If an arrest is made based on your tip you could receive a cash reward up to $2500.  Remember Crime Stoppers only wants your information, not your name.

Homicide

This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information about a homicide that took place at 1100 E. South Grand Ave. on Saturday, February 20th at 2:30am.  The victim, Carlos Dozier was shot and killed while at a party at this location.  Four other victims also suffered non-life threatening gunshot wounds during the incident.  Investigators are asking for anyone with suspect descriptions, vehicle descriptions or video from the incident to come forward.  You can help Law Enforcement make your community a safer place to live!  If you have information about this homicide or any other crime, call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 788-8427, submit a tip on this website, Cashfortips.US or use the P3 app on any mobile device.  If an arrest is made based on your tip you could receive a cash reward up to $5000.  Remember Crime Stoppers only wants your information, not your name.

This week Crime Stoppers wants to make you aware of an event taking place in support of our organization, The Winter Caddyshack Open sponsored by Skeff Distributing.  This is a pub crawl, put-put style golf event taking place on Saturday, March 13th at (6) local bars and restaurants including: Sunset Inn, Harry’s Adult Daycare, Blue Grouch Pub, George Ranks, Hooters and The Curve Inn.  Cost is $20 per golfer and gets you an event coozie, wrist band and scorecard.  You can sign up at any of those locations.  All proceeds from the event are being donated to Crime Stoppers to support our ongoing effort to make your community safer! Rt. 66 Mural Vandalism

Armed Robbery to Business

This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information about an Armed Robbery to the Circle K gas station, 2700 Stevenson Drive on Sunday, January 3rd at 5:05am.  In this incident a black male suspect enters the store armed with a black handgun and demands money from the clerk.  The suspect was described as light to medium skin tone, 5’10”/150lbs. wearing a dark green winter coat with fur lined hood, black mask, light gray hooded sweatshirt with multi-colored block lettering on the front, light washed blue jeans and tan work boots with dark colored cuffs on top.  He also had a tattoo on the back of his left hand.  The suspect fled south on foot after the robbery.  Photos of the suspect can be viewed on our website, Cashfortips.US.  If you have any information about this Armed Robbery call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 788-8427 or submit a tip on this website.  Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards up to $2500 for information resulting in an arrest and remember, we only want your information, not your name!

This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information about a Shots Fired and Criminal Damage incident that occurred on Saturday, December 19th at 7pm at 1936 Marland St. in Springfield.  Multiple shots were fired at the residence from a dark colored Dodge Challenger.  The residence was struck several times but no one was injured.  The vehicle was last seen west bound on Griffiths St. from Marland St.  Law Enforcement needs your help locating the vehicle and identifying its occupants!  If you have information about the vehicle or can identify the occupants, call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 788-8427, submit a tip on this website, Cashfortips.US or download the P3 app on any mobile device and submit a tip from there.  If your tip leads to an arrest you will receive a cash reward up to 2500 dollars.
