This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Springfield Police Department in reference to a burglary and criminal damage report. On November 13th and 17th ,in the early morning hours, police responded to White Oaks Mall, 2501 Wabash , in reference to several thousand dollars’ worth of damage being done to the inside of the building. Once inside, the suspects, who appear to be teenagers, damaged windows, fixtures, water pipes, and discharged fire extinguishers throughout the building. This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Springfield Police Department in identifying a suspect reference to criminal damage that happened on February 1st, 2024, around 9pm at Dynasty Asian 105 E South Grand.  The suspect appears to be a male wearing a gray jacket was playing the slot machine and punched the screen prior to leaving.  The damage to the machine was approximately $500.00.  Images of the individuals can be found on this website, cashfortips.us. This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Springfield Police Department in reference to a burglary and an attempted burglary that occurred in the 2000 block of E. Brown Street sometime in late January. Video captured pictures of two suspects from one of the incidents that need identified.  The first suspect appears to be a male wearing a black leather jacket, and the second appears to also be a male wearing a brown Carhartt style jacket.  It is unclear at this time if these cases are related.  Images of the individuals can be found on this website, cashfortips.us. This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Springfield Police Department reference an attempted vehicle theft and criminal damage that occurred on January 27th around 8pm at Auto Connect located at 1900 S 6th St. Two suspects broke into multiple vehicles and broke the steering columns in what appeared to be an attempt to steal the vehicles causing $4,000 in damage. The suspect, who appeared to be a male wearing dark clothing, broke a window on the victim’s vehicle causing nearly $500 in damage. The suspect, who appeared to be a male, entered the store and approached an employee behind the register brandishing a firearm. The suspect then grabbed the employee by their arm and threatened them. A vehicle window had been broken out causing $500 in damage and the steering column had been removed causing an additional $1,000 in damage. This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Springfield Police Department reference a theft that occurred at the La Quinta Inn located at 1121 Lejune on December 18th around 6:30p.m. The victim had lost over $10,000 out of their pocket they were going to give their employees as a Christmas bonus. Video footage shows the suspect, who appears to be a female with dark hair, bend down and pick up what appears to be the sum of cash. It is unknown which direction the suspect went after. This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Springfield Police Department reference an attempted motor vehicle theft and criminal damage that occurred at State Farm located at 1200 W Jefferson on November 9th around 2:30 p.m. The victim saw two young males inside their vehicle attempting to steal it. Upon confronting them, they fled the area. While examining the vehicle, the lower half of the steering column had been removed causing approximately $500 in damage.
