The victim was walking southbound crossing Clearlake Ave when they were struck by a dark color SUV that was traveling eastbound. After striking the pedestrian, the SUV fled the area continuing eastbound on Clearlake. The victim was transported to a local hospital and treated for multiple injuries including broken bones. This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Springfield Police Department reference a shooting that occurred at 11^th and South Grand in Springfield, IL on October 23^rd, 2022 around 10:20 pm. The victim was in their vehicle traveling southbound on 11^th when they were struck by gunfire coming from a dark color sedan that was also southbound on 11^th. Video shows there were two other vehicles at the intersection during the incident and someone likely has information that could help investigators. One of the subjects, who was wearing a gray sweatshirt and blue jeans, pulled a firearm and told the victim to give them what they had. The victim was able to drive away from the male subject before any further incidents occured. The victim was treated for injuries that appeared to be non-life-threatening at a local hospital. This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Springfield Police Department reference a felony retail theft that occurred on September 14^th, 2022 around 5:00 p.m. at Ace Hardware located at 214 N Walnut in Springfield, IL. A male and female entered the store and proceeded to take possession of approximately $750 worth of items including electrical wire and a Milwaukee string trimmer. The suspects proceeded to pass the last point of purchase without paying for the items and left northbound on Walnut in a silver Hyundai Sante Fe.
