This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Springfield Police Department reference a burglary, theft and criminal damage that took place at 510 E Monroe St just after 6:00am. on March 1^st, 2023. The suspects appeared to have forced entry into the building before taking an assortment of items including copper pipe, wire and aluminum stud beams. Over $5,000 in property was stolen and $500 in damage was done by the suspects before they fled the area on a 4 wheeler. This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Sangamon County Sheriff’s Office reference two felony criminal damage cases in Springfield. The first incident occurred on March 10^th 2023 in the 3700 block of Camp Butler RD. The second incident occurred between March 14^th and 15^th at the CWLP sub station located at 3600 Ridgley RD. In both incidents, a large amount of fiber optic wire was damaged causing approximately $55,000 in damage collectively between both incidents. This week Crime Stoppers wants to make you aware of two upcoming fundraisers. The north end masters will be taking place Saturday April 8^th from 12:00 p.m.-6:00p.m. The cost is $15 if you register early or $20 the day of. Crime Stoppers is also starting a queen of hearts drawing with the drawing being every Sunday at Weebles at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are available for $1 each and you must be at least 21 to participate. Tickets will be available for purchase at multiple satellite locations. This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Sangamon County Sheriff’s Office reference a felony theft that occurred during the early morning hours on March 5th, 2023 at the Animal Protective League located at 1001 Taintor road. During the theft multiple items were taken including a work platform and six 55 gallon barrels. Video shows a male subject in a single cab truck loading the work platform into the truck however it is unclear if he also stole the barrels. The items stolen were valued at $540. This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Springfield Police Department reference a shots fired that occurred on February 15^th, 2023 around 7:00 p.m. at Esporta Fitness located at 2501 Wabash in Springfield, IL. Multiple shots were fired by the suspect during the incident, however no one was injured and no property was damaged. After the shots were fired, the suspect fled the area on foot.
