Crime Stoppers Crime of the Week
August 24, 2017
Officer Mike Badger, Crime Stoppers Coordinator for Sangamon and Menard counties.
For the second consecutive week, the focus on the Crime Stoppers Crime of the Week centers on a shooting incident in Springfield and again, Crime Stoppers is seeking tips from anyone who has information about this homicide. On August 18th 25 year old Reginald Day was shot as he left Total Essence Barber Shop at 821 E Cedar in Springfield. In homicide cases, Crime Stoppers pay’s up to $5000 in cash for information that leads to an arrest. We offer total anonymity and I can unequivocally state that I have never known the identity of anybody who has ever left a tip to Crime Stoppers. We’ve already paid thousands and thousands of dollars in rewards this year alone and we believe there’s someone who has information that can
lead investigators to an arrest and will leave them with a large cash reward. If you have a tip, call the Crime Stopper tipline at 788-8427. You can also leave a tip anonymously on our website cashfortips.us or send a tip by text. Instructions are on the website.
