This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Springfield Police Department reference a shooting that occurred on May 18^th, 2023 around 6:00 p.m. in the 2400 block of Taylor Ave. in Springfield, IL. The suspect was described as a male having a beard with gray in it, short hair, 6’0, 130-140 pounds, and wearing all dark clothing. The victim suffered an apparent gunshot wound and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The victim’s injuries are being considered non-life threatening at this time. Photos are currently not available and Crime Stoppers needs your help identifying a suspect.
