Three women were taken to Springfield hospitals with non-life threatening stab wounds early Sunday following a disturbance at a house party on the 2800 block of South 13th Street, the Sangamon County Sheriff’s Office said.
No information was available on what prompted the the disturbance, which was reported about 4:50 a.m. The three victims were in a disturbance with another group of people, and at least one of the women in the other group had a knife and allegedly stabbed the three women, the sheriff’s office said.
The sheriff’s office added that deputies had been at the residence earlier in the evening for noise complaints.
No arrests had been made as of Sunday afternoon, and the incident remained under investigation.
