This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Springfield Police Department reference an attempted vehicle theft and criminal damage that occurred on January 27^th around 8pm at Auto Connect located at 1900 S 6^th St. Two suspects broke into multiple vehicles and broke the steering columns in what appeared to be an attempt to steal the vehicles causing $4,000 in damage. This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Springfield Police Department reference a burglary to motor vehicle that occurred at Memorial Medical Center on January 19^th during the early morning. The suspect, who appeared to be a male wearing dark clothing, broke a window on the victim’s vehicle causing nearly $500 in damage. This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Springfield Police Department reference an attempted armed robbery that occurred on December 10^th around 7:00 p.m. at Dollar General located at 1057 E Ash. The suspect, who appeared to be a male, entered the store and approached an employee behind the register brandishing a firearm. The suspect then grabbed the employee by their arm and threatened them. A vehicle window had been broken out causing $500 in damage and the steering column had been removed causing an additional $1,000 in damage.
