This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Springfield Police Department reference a stabbing that occurred in the area of South Grand Ave. and Old Rochester Road in Springfield, IL on September 24^th, 2022 around 4:00 p.m. The victim was traveling westbound on South Grand on the sidewalk when they were stabbed by a subject described as a heavier set male carrying multiple yellow bags, wearing a backpack and walking a dog. The victim was treated for injuries that appeared to be non-life-threatening at a local hospital. This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Springfield Police Department reference a felony retail theft that occurred on September 14^th, 2022 around 5:00 p.m. at Ace Hardware located at 214 N Walnut in Springfield, IL. A male and female entered the store and proceeded to take possession of approximately $750 worth of items including electrical wire and a Milwaukee string trimmer. The suspects proceeded to pass the last point of purchase without paying for the items and left northbound on Walnut in a silver Hyundai Sante Fe. This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Springfield Police Department reference a robbery, aggravated battery and theft that occurred on September 25^th 2022 around 5:30p.m. at Walgreens located at 1310 S 5^th Street in Springfield, IL. A male suspect was seen by employees filling a bag behind the counter with cigarettes. Employees approached the suspect and the suspect then pushed one of the employees who was carrying a cash drawer causing them to drop the drawer and spill money.
