2021 Winter Caddyshack Open (Sponsored by Skeff Distributing)

This week Crime Stoppers wants to make you aware of an event taking place in support of our organization, The Winter Caddyshack Open sponsored by Skeff Distributing.  This is a pub crawl, put-put style golf event taking place on Saturday, March 13th at (6) local bars and restaurants including: Sunset Inn, Harry’s Adult Daycare, Blue Grouch Pub, George Ranks, Hooters and The Curve Inn.  Cost is $20 per golfer and gets you an event coozie, wrist band and scorecard.  You can sign up at any of those locations.  All proceeds from the event are being donated to Crime Stoppers to support our ongoing effort to make your community safer! This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information about a shooting incident that took place on Friday, February 5th at 5:09pm in the area of 11th/Pine St.  Witnesses report a black male was standing in the sunroof of a newer model, black Dodge Charger, firing shots while north bound on 11th St. The suspect vehicle was last seen east bound on Cedar St. from 11th St.  Four vehicles were struck by gunfire and an occupant of one of the vehicle’s suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound.  If you have any information about this shooting incident, call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 788-8427, submit a tip on this website, Cashfortips.US or use the P3 app on any mobile device.   If an arrest is made based on your tip you could receive a cash reward up to $2500.  Remember Crime Stoppers only wants your information, not your name.    

Rt. 66 Mural Vandalism

This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information about vandalism done to the Rt. 66 Mural at the railroad viaduct on 9th St. just north of Converse St.  The vandalism took place between the week of January 10th and Wednesday, January 27th.  The mural was spray painted with graffiti causing several hundred dollars in damage.  Law Enforcement needs your help to identify the person(s) responsible.  If you have any information about who vandalized the mural, call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 788-8427, submit a tip on this website, Cashfortips.US or use the P3 app on any mobile device.   If an arrest is made based on your tip you could receive a cash reward up to $2500.  Remember Crime Stoppers only wants your information, not your name.    

Ongoing Thefts and Burglaries

This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information about ongoing thefts of catalytic converters and burglaries to storage units throughout Springfield and Sangamon County.  The catalytic converters are cut from the exhaust of victim vehicles.  The thefts and burglaries are taking place during overnight hours.  Crime Stoppers has received tips about these incidents but more information is needed to solve these crimes and Law Enforcement needs your help to apprehend the suspects.  If you have any information about these incidents call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 788-8427, submit a tip on this website, Cashfortips.US or download the P3 app on any mobile device and submit a tip from there.   If an arrest is made based on your tip you could receive a cash reward up to $2500.  Remember Crime Stoppers only wants your information, not your name.

Crime Stoppers 2020 Year in Review
