This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Springfield Fire Department in reference to an arson that occurred on January 30th around 9:30am at 2340 Peoria Road. When firefighters arrived, there was heavy smoke and fire coming from a 2 story residence.  Two individuals were seen leaving the scene.  The Springfield Fire Department is needing your help identifying these two individuals in order to speak with them about the incident.  Images of the individuals can be found on this website, cashfortips.us. Attempted Vehicle Theft and Criminal Damage

This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Springfield Police Department reference an attempted vehicle theft and criminal damage that occurred on January 27th around 8pm at Auto Connect located at 1900 S 6th St. Two suspects broke into multiple vehicles and broke the steering columns in what appeared to be an attempt to steal the vehicles causing $4,000 in damage. Two vehicle windows were also broken in the process causing an additional $1000 in damage. Video of the suspects can be found on this website, cashfortips.us. This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Springfield Police Department reference a burglary to motor vehicle that occurred at Memorial Medical Center on January 19th during the early morning. The suspect, who appeared to be a male wearing dark clothing, broke a window on the victim’s vehicle causing nearly $500 in damage. This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Springfield Police Department reference an attempted armed robbery that occurred on December 10th around 7:00 p.m. at Dollar General located at 1057 E Ash. The suspect, who appeared to be a male, entered the store and approached an employee behind the register brandishing a firearm. The suspect then grabbed the employee by their arm and threatened them. This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Springfield Police Department reference an attempted motor vehicle theft and criminal damage that occurred in the 1000 block of S 2nd St during the night time hours between January 3rd and 4th. A vehicle window had been broken out causing $500 in damage and the steering column had been removed causing an additional $1,000 in damage.
