This week Crime Stoppers is
seeking information about a series of criminal damage and theft incidents which
took place overnight during the Celtic Festival in Chatham on the weekend of
May 15th and May 16th. In the incident, persons damaged
tents and trailers at the festival site and stole thousands of dollars worth of
merchandise and property from the venues which were entered. As evidence at the
scene is processed, it appears that this felony incident may have been
perpetrated by more than one person and Crime Stoppers wants to pay a cash
reward to a tipster who anonymously gives us the information which leads to

As you’ve heard in past
criminal incidents, there are often times when Crime Stoppers has produced
surveillance photos of suspects. We now want to tell you about the Springfield
Police Departments website, a separate website which has numerous photo’s of
suspects from various incidents on the “Can You Identify” tab off the main page
of the site. The Springfield Police Departments website is
spd.springfield.il.us. If you recognize any of the persons in the photos,
contact Crime Stoppers. You can be paid a cash reward if any tips you leave lead to the arrest of the suspects pictured. Remember the Springfield Police Department website is a separate website, not the Crime Stopper website. There is, however, a link from the Crime Stopper website to the SPD website and also from the SPD website to the Crime
Stopper website.
