Criminal Damage and Battery

This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Springfield Police Department in reference to a Criminal Damage and Battery Case.  On January 30th, 2024, around 2:40 pm a female entered Dollar General at 930 W Jefferson and was denied a purchase because she didn’t have an ID.   The female suspect started a verbal disturbance with employees and refused to leave.  After several minutes of arguing the female picked up an employee’s phone and left with it.  One employee tried to stop her but she pushed past her causing an injury to the employee.  Once outside the suspect threw the employees phone down, breaking it, causing $1,100.00 worth of damage.  Images of the individual can be found on this website, cashfortips.us. If you have any information regarding this incident or can identify the individual, call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 217-788-8427, submit a tip on this website, or use the P3 app. If your tip results in an arrest you could receive a cash reward up to $2500.  Remember Crime Stoppers only wants your information, not your name.
