This week, Crime Stoppers is seeking the communities’ assistance in locating Jeremy Register, who was reported missing in Springfield. The Springfield Police Department was notified by his family in October that they had not seen or heard from him since May. This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Springfield Police Department in reference to a burglary and criminal damage report. On November 13^th and 17^th ,in the early morning hours, police responded to White Oaks Mall, 2501 Wabash , in reference to several thousand dollars’ worth of damage being done to the inside of the building. Once inside, the suspects, who appear to be teenagers, damaged windows, fixtures, water pipes, and discharged fire extinguishers throughout the building. This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Springfield Police Department in reference to a robbery.  On November 7^th around 11pm a male and female suspect entered Burger King, 3200 Northfield Dr in Springfield after the store was closed and employees were closing.  Once inside the two suspects demanded money from the employees and then fled on foot.  Both suspects had their faces covered at the time of the incident, however the female suspect had a very distinctive sweatshirt on.  Photos of the suspects can be found on this website, cashfortips.us. This week Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help in assisting the Illinois State Police with a homicide investigation. On September 9th, 2024, the Illinois State Police responded to a call in Normal, Illinois, where a body was discovered. The following day, the victim was identified as 34-year-old Dion Macklin from Springfield.  If you know or may have heard anything about his death, investigators need to know.
