Crime Stoppers Crime of the Week August 13, 2015 Officer Mike Badger, Crime Stoppers Coordinator for Sangamon and Menard Counties. This week Crime Stoppers is looking for information about an incident in which a number of fire damaged apartments in the Chatham Hills Apartment complex were entered several days after a fire had caused extensive damage to the building. It’s possible that neighborhood residents thought that the perpetrators were construction workers or maintenance employees when entry was forced into the fire damaged building and apartments. Several units were ransacked and a few of the apartments were found to have items, including electronics and jewelry, missing from them. Did you see anything on August 10th on Candlewood Drive which looked a little unusual but you didn’t think at the time it was a criminal act? If you did, or if you have any other information which might help solve this crime, call Crime Stoppers- you could earn cash reward. You can reach us at 788-8427, or you can submit your tip by text or on this website, just follow the instructions on this page.  Remember Crime Stopper tips are always kept anonymous.
