Officer Mike Badger, Crime Stoppers Coordinator for Sangamon and Menard counties
In the Crime of the Week of this week I’d like to focus on an armed robbery which took place at the Circle K service station on Clearlake Avenue in Springfield. Shortly after 9 pm on June 3, a black male in his late 40’s or early 50’s -who implied he had a weapon- robbed the business and left on foot with the contents of the cash drawer. The suspect stood approximately 5'9" tall and had an average build. He was wearing mostly black clothing and had a white and black baseball cap on and older white tennis shoes with red laces. The Springfield Police Department has surveillance video from the robbery and Crime Stoppers has posted images from the surveillance on our website Cashfortips.us. If you can identify this subject or provide any information which leads to his arrest, Crime Stoppers will pay you a cash reward of up to $2500.The Springfield Police Department has surveillance video from the robbery and images are posted on the Crime Stopper website Cashfortips.us.
